Faculty Enrichment and Teacher Certification are services of APTEA in which member institutions, individual members, and associate members may voluntarily participate. The Association provides training and workshops to improve instructors’ teaching skills and expand their pedagogical methods in pursuit of teaching for transformation. Instructors, whether in the classroom or online, are encouraged to pursue teacher certification which is offered on three levels.

Certification means that an individual has been recognized as having fulfilled an objective list of criteria and generated a project that indicates personal growth in instructional methods, which qualifies the individual for a specific level of recognition.

The Association provides documents and material to member institutions and individuals to facilitate the process of teacher certification.
